There’s nothing cozier than spending time with old friends–and Saving the Sammi by Frank Tuttle is a delightful chance to re-unite with Meralda and Mug, two of the finest characters in the fantasy world. If you haven’t read All the Paths of Shadow ($3.99)–the novel of these same characters, no worries. You can read Saving the Sammi before or after the novel and still be immersed without being lost. Saving the Sammi was not only an adventure, it also managed to reveal more details about important characters, and I *loved* the latest invention for Mug, the houseplant. Yes, Meralda is a mage and her familiar as it were, is a houseplant with 29 eyes and a very smart mouth. Meralda once again sets an impossible goal. Mug tries to talk her out of it, but lives are at stake! In the end, Mug can do nothing but offer his sage advice, his companionship and when all else fails, his sharp wit. A delightful danger-filled rush to the rescue; I loved every bit of this novella. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a good adventure tale.
Saving the Sammi is available for the Kindle for only $1.50 today.
